5 TPH Animal Feed Production Line – Southeast Asia
5 TPH Animal Feed Production Line – Southeast Asia
Project Overview
This 5 TPH feed production line was custom-engineered for a client in Southeast Asia seeking a large-scale, reliable animal feed manufacturing plant. As a complete feed processing line, the system integrates raw material receiving, grinding, mixing, pelletizing, cooling, and packaging into one streamlined workflow — making it an ideal turnkey feed plant solution for commercial feed producers and large-scale farming operations.
Southeast Asia is rich in agricultural by-products such as rice bran, palm kernel meal, and cassava. Our system is specifically optimized to process these local raw materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
Complete Process Flow – From Raw Material to Finished Bags
This 5TPH feed production equipment line follows a modular, four-stage design, with each section precisely matched to the 5-ton-per-hour capacity requirement.
Stage 1: Grinding Process
Flow Path: Raw Material Receiving → Pellet Precleaner → Permanent Magnet Separator → Storage Bin → Hammer Mill → Pulse Dust Collector → Ground Material Bin
Description: Raw materials (corn, soybean meal, palm kernel meal, cassava, etc.) first pass through a pellet precleaner to remove large impurities (straw, ropes, stones), then a permanent magnet separator to eliminate ferrous contaminants. Clean materials are conveyed via bucket elevator conveying to the storage bin, then fed into a hammer mill for feed with interchangeable screens (1.5–8.0 mm) for precise particle size control. A pulse dust collection system captures fines and returns them to the main flow, ensuring a clean working environment.
Key Equipment: Pellet precleaner, permanent magnet separator, hammer mill, pulse dust collector, bucket elevator, storage bin
Stage 2: Mixing Process
Flow Path: Ground Material Bin → Batching Scale → Mixer → Finished Mash Bin
Description: Ground materials are precisely weighed by an automatic batching scale / weighing system (accuracy ≤ ±0.2%) according to the preset formula. Ingredients are then discharged into a double shaft paddle mixer, achieving a mixing uniformity coefficient (CV) of <5% within 2–4 minutes. The mixed mash can either proceed to pelletizing or be packaged directly as powder feed production.
Key Equipment: Bucket elevator, batching scale, double shaft paddle mixer, finished mash bin
Stage 3: Pelletizing, Cooling & Crumbling Process
Flow Path: Mash Bin → Bucket Elevator → Conditioning Chamber → Ring Die Pellet Mill → Counterflow Cooler → Crumbler (optional) → Grading Screener → Finished Pellet Bin
Description: Mixed mash is elevated to the conditioner, where steam injection (0.2–0.5 MPa) raises temperature to 75–95°C for optimal starch gelatinization. The conditioned mash enters a ring die pellet mill — the core of this feed pelletizing process. Interchangeable dies (2.0–8.0 mm) produce pellets for poultry feed pellets, pig feed processing, aquaculture feed line, and cattle feed manufacturing.
Hot pellets (80–90°C) are elevated to a counterflow cooler, where they are cooled to ambient + 3°C within 6–10 minutes while moisture is reduced to 12–13%. An optional crumbler / crumbling process produces crumble feed for starter animals. A vibrating screener removes fines and oversized particles, with rejects returned to the pellet mill for re-processing.
Key Equipment: Bucket elevator, conditioner, ring die pellet mill, counterflow cooler, crumbler, vibrating screener, finished pellet bin
Stage 4: Screening & Packaging Process
Flow Path: Pellet Bin → Bucket Elevator → Rotary Screener → Packaging Buffer Bin → Automatic Weighing Scale → Sewing Machine → Conveyor & Palletizing
Description: Finished pellets are elevated to a rotary screener for final quality check, removing any powder residues (<2% fines). Clean pellets enter the automatic packaging scale for feed bags 50kg (10–50 kg adjustable, ±0.1% accuracy, 4–6 bags/min). Filled bags are sealed by an automatic sewing machine and conveyed to the palletizing area.
Key Equipment: Bucket elevator, rotary screener, buffer bin, automatic packaging scale, sewing machine, conveyor system, dust extraction unit
